Brady actually appointed a WORLD CLASS shelving designer to create an ICONIC matchday shelving EXPERIENCE.
He was tasked to create INNOVATIVE and ACCESSIBLE solutions with OUTSTANDING CAPACITY and SIGHT LINES better than any other stadium in LONDON.
He looked around and noticed that in-fact, we had the WORLD's LARGEST horizontal flat space installed on at EVERY LEVEL within our ICONIC stadium. With perfect SIGHT LINES for every supporter.
He made his recommendation and sent in his bill.
His solution?
Put your beer on the floor.

Back to the important things in life. 3 points and somewhere to put my beer and cheese? Maybe they're holding back, might be able to pick up a bit of shelving as part of the Defoe deal when Sunderland go down.

I obviously need to make my first visit to the London Stadium PDQ, before they change the place beyond all recognition...

Correct me if I'm wrong, by all means, but are we not TENANTS of this stadium? If so, is it not the responsibility of the owners to provide/maintain the facilities?
The stadium was built for an event that took place five years ago, and yet it's still not finished. Yes, the seating bowl required modification to accommodate football, but the concourse areas are surely fairly standard whatever event is taking place.
I'm going on London2012online.net to see how many people complained about the lack of shelving during those two weeks.

In response to the original post, there had been some installed - I remember seeing a couple of youngsters taking a photo of themselves next to one and thinking "Thats kids for you - always taking shelfies".

I really need some shelving just for my personal use to put down my Chinese rice and mussel dish that's now my regular pre match meal from the Chinese outlet by the East stand. Why one just for me? We'll I've always been SHELLFish.
See what I did there.
I'll get my coat.

Sometimes even drug-related shelving.

Some people say they don't want Arabs owning the club, but they'll change their tune when they see the new shelving.

There's an upper concourse? Thought that just went to seats?
